Congratulations to Jinghan Wu on her outstanding junior recital performance. Music by Linghai Li, Mozart, and Chopin got powerful, sensitive, and dynamic readings. Her Chopin F-sharp minor Polonaise was especially strong. The Li was sparkling and colorful - the Mozart charming. Congratulations Jinghan!

Junior Piano Performance Major Jackson "Jack" Merrill gave an outstanding Junior Recital Hearing Thursday, February 3, before a committee of demanding faculty. His program included works by Bach, Debussy, and Dello Joio, and was presented with style, expressiveness, and versatility. Bravo! My senior, Tyler Bechtle, graduated from Jacksonville University on May 4. Of all the students I have had the honor of teaching, Tyler improved the most, the fastest. He was an inspirational leader amoung all our students and his presence will be missed. We wish all the best for Tyler!
