Great article on the reality of being a "working" pianist today (be it in the concert arena, as accompanist, or however one defines working). I am particularly interested in the millions of teenagers taking piano lessons in China and how that is transforming the global pianistic scene. Delicious and silky wines from Austrailian winemaker Bill Williamson. Bill and his wife Dawn have a beautiful shop in Healdsburg, California, where I first tasted this delicious fruit of the earth. It's simply one of the finest wines available.

It was a thrill to perform Gershwin's immortal "Rhapsody in Blue" with Maestro Krajewski and the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra in 2005!
Maestro Mechetti and I have collaborated on a number of projects , including works by Schumann, Chopin, Gershwin, and as opera coach and rehearsal accompanist in works by Puccini, Rossini, Bizet, Mozart, Verdi. Maestro is at home in works of his countrymen from Brazil, contemporary works, and the large Romantic repertoire. He is a pleasure to work with and I always look forward to our collaborations.
Chris and I have collaborated on a number of concerto performances, including Tchaikovsky First, Rachmaninoff Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Grieg Concerto, Beethoven Emperor, Liszt Second, and Beethoven Fourth. I look forward to performing with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, a truly wonderful group of musicians whose dedication to their art is inspiring!
I had the privilege of working with Maestro Lloyd-Jones in a performance of the Grieg Concerto with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra during their Delius Festival Concerts in 2003. Such a wonderful musician and conductor.
