On the 100th anniversary of the work's premiere performance (Oct. 27, 1919), pianist Scott Watkins presents the lecture-recital he's given in Nebraska, Vancouver, Texas, Florida, for the College Music Society, Florida Music Teachers Association, University of Nebraska, and in Wahoo, Nebraska (Hanson's home town). Rare and exclusive photos, never-before-seen letters, and a complete performance of Hanson's Symphonic Rhapsody (which Watkins discovered in manuscript and published with Carl Fischer Music in 2017). Additional works by Hanson round out this unique evening of music, history, and nostalgia.
